Havenmark IP is an educational tool that helps individual creators and small businesses understand which aspects of their work may be protectable under intellectual property law. The service is informational only.

Havenmark IP is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, does not form an attorney-client relationship with users, and does not represent any user in any legal matter. See the Terms & disclaimer for the full version of this commitment.

Data protection

Havenmark IP is committed to processing the minimum amount of personal data possible. The architectural and operational details (what is collected, what is not, who touches it, and how long it is retained) are set out at Security & trust.

The data controller for any personal data processed in connection with the service is the operator identified above. To exercise any data-subject right (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, or portability) please write to hello@havenmarkip.com. We respond within the timeframes required under GDPR (30 days) and KVKK (30 days), and will not charge for routine requests.

Applicable law and supervisory authorities

For users in the European Union, the applicable framework includes Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR). Users may lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in their EU member state of residence.

For users in Turkey, the applicable framework is Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu, KVKK). The supervisory authority is the Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu (Personal Data Protection Authority), based in Ankara.

For visitors from other jurisdictions, local data protection law may also apply. Havenmark IP operates on the higher of the applicable standards.

Hosting and sub-processors

The service is hosted by Vercel Inc. (United States). A full list of sub-processors (third parties that may touch user input as part of the analysis pipeline) is maintained at Security & trust.

Intellectual property in this site

The Havenmark IP name, the visual identity, the copy on this site, and the source code of the service are the property of the operator. The educational content is offered to readers free of charge for personal use. Commercial reuse (including incorporation into a competing product) requires written permission.

Changes

This notice may be updated to reflect changes in the operator's circumstances, the service, or applicable law. The version on this page is the current version.
